redtaurus94, youre running 265/75 on a dually? Those are a bit wider then the 235's but not much taller (if any) right?
Im curious about duallys too, anyone have anything besides 235/85?
Yep, 265-75s....six of them. Not sure why the previous owner changed to this size. They are 30mm wider, or about 1.18 inches. The 265s are actually .08 inches shorter, if you do the math calculations. I like the 265s just fine but I have to wonder about winter traction. In snow, on a dually, wouldn't narrower tyres tend to work better? There may be some advantage to the wider tire that I have not thought of, but since they are both the same height, if I can have better snow traction with the narrower tire, thats what I would rather have.
And another thing....having the word "tires" not show up on our posts sure is a PIA.........

I'll throw out the option of Cooper tires. I'm running Cooper Discoverers and really like them, good traction and at a good price. I have run BFG AT KO and I love those tires, but with the bigger truck now, they would cost even more, can't quite afford them yet.
Goodyear Workhorse 235x85x16E range with studs is the way to go. I pull snowcats (8,000lb)up Vail Pass all winter and don't need 4x4 drive cept sometimes in the parking lot. What ever you choose, stay away from the wide tires. While superwide no grips look cool and everything they're not any good in icy conditions. For snow & ice, buy tall & narrow.
I have used both the BFG M/T and Goodyear MT/R`s. The MT/R`s have a longer tread life than the BFG`s. I am running 235/85`s on my 2000 F350 CrwCb Dually 4x4. They (the MT/R`s) are the best tires I have ever owned. So far I have over 56000mi. on my set. A good place to do research on tires is: tirerack.com

Here is a link to a place where you can get great tires at a great price. The tires I have on my truck list for $185/ea. This place has the same exact tire for $65 each.
Check it out.
I've had the Sidewinder All Terrain tire before. I paid $94 for it at the time.... probably 9 years ago... and I liked them. Never had any problems and the did pretty good offroad too. I also had the Sidewinder MT before as well. They didn't last too long, but I didn't rotate them like I should have so that definitely accounted for their somewhat short life. I think they last around 30k miles, but mudders don't last all that long anyway. Good tires for the money in my opinion.
