NEED TIRES/Question???

I have a 97 F350 PSD 4X4 in need of new tires. What's a good tire for these. Concerned about mostly for the winter driving. Thanks.

I really like the Goodyear Wrangler mt/r's. They have excellent tread and grab good in mud or snow. The only downside to these are the price tag.

BFG All-Terrain, good road manors, great traction. I have had several sets on several different trucks and always liked them. The mud terrains are also a good tire.

I've had BFG All Terrain's on various trucks and they've been a great tyre in all conditions (although I have done much in the snow :S

Another vote for BFG All Terrains - haven't had mine in the snow yet (I've heard they do just fine), but they drive and handle way better than my mud tires did!! Not the cheapest tire you can get but well worth the $$ IMO.

Is your truck single or dual rear wheel? Do you tow a lot with your truck or just about never? If you don't do anything heavy duty with it you should be able to get away with a load range D tire. There are a lot of options out there that's for sure. I have had the Pro Comp All Terrains before and absolutely loved them. They come with a 50,000 mile warranty on them.

I run mastercrafts on everything. I would try to find a wholeseller and buy from them, the saved money can buy about 4 more tires instead of opting for the road hazard

Here is a link to a place where you can get great tires at a great price. The tires I have on my truck list for $185/ea. This place has the same exact tire for $65 each.
Check it out.

Just to chime in, had a set of 285/65/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T's put on my truck Monday. I love them, great ride, no road noise (none that I can hear of the engine anyways), 50k mile warranty, dual tread technology, and awesome water siping. Down side, only 8 ply load range D. Good ride, maybe a bit underrated for a full ton. Had them on another truck and they did great in the snow too. Not sure on the price, got them from a friend as take offs for $20.

I like my Nitto Terragrapplers in 265/75 16E myself. Just remember to air up to recommended F-350 specs. Pressure lower in F-350 tires than f-250 235/85 16 E's

Any comments on tyres for a dually? My truck has had Firestone Steeltex LT265-75-R16E radials on it since I got it. They do OK, but I don't really have anything to compare them to. I am trying to take good care of them with proper rotations and all. I did do that one burnout the other day, though. I just couldn't resist.

Anywho, I think the stock size for my truck is LT235-85-R16E. My tyres are a little more than an inch wider than stock, and are virtually the same height. I can't believe I haven't seen the word M-I-C-H-E-L-I-N in this thread anywheres. Anyone shoed a dually lately??

Thanks for the link! I'm due for new tires and I'm going to give them a try.
