How much horsepower?

I was just curious what my current combenation would make for horsepower and torque, and in what RPM range. Here is what i have

-302 bored 40 over
-stock crank 10 under
-stock rods
-SpeedPro flattop pistions hyp.
-new stock oil pump
-ford racing windage tray
-Ford cast iron heads 58cc flattened with .001 or .01 off the bottom(What ever they usually do)
-Comp cams Springs and retainers with dameners
-new 3 angle valve job with home ported exhaust ports/ polished, port matched intake
-Comp cams magnum roller tip rocker arms 1.6
-offenhouser 360degree intake with edlebrock performer 600cfm carb
-Comp cams magnum 270H camshaft
-all new felpro gaskets

If there is anyone who can tell me the compression ratio also that would be nice, i am guessing around 9.5:1

Thanks for any help
Brian

I'd guess around 320ish HP/370ish trq

As for compression: with those small combustion chambers (look like 69/70 or a HiPo size) you should be looking around 10:1 if not higher...i'm looking to run about 9.5/10 and i'm using 69 Mach 1 heads (62cc i believe) and i'm having them shaved to 60cc...and the machinist gave me the 10:1 ballpark.

From: Destin/Ft. Walton Beach,
I hope you know you'll be stuck with Premium gas prices. That engine won't run on regular or Mid grade without pinging, or retarding the timing. If you do that, You lose all your power. I have the same heads on an engine. It runs great, but the expensive gas sucks. One other thing. Why a stock oil pump? Any good performance engine deserves a high volume oil pump. There's no reason not too use one, except for old wives tales.

Steve,
a new stock oil pump is what came with a kit that had come from summit. I was told that this pump would do fine and just to use a hardened pump shaft.
Yes i was planning on using premimum gas, here in Mass we have 93 octain and that was what i was planning on using. Ya the prices suck but it is not going to be a daily driver.
Ace Trucking,
The heads actually have a larger combustion chamber than stock, the engine did not come with the sock heads. the engine is a 68 jcode which originally came with 53cc head. and a 10.5-1 stock. Also where did you get the numbers, they were higher than what i was expecting, i was thinking around 300hp/330trq

They came from jwtaylor. Granted it's for a windsor, but I subtracted a lil for your application and cam:
"Here are a couple recipes for hp as found in "How to build max performance ford v-8 on a budget".

351w
Bored to 4.030
flat top pistons (federal-mogul)
10.5:1 compression
comp cams extreme energy 262 flat tappet
roller rockers
stock gt-40p heads with 1.94/1.60 valves otherwise stock
edelbrock rpm intake
demon 750
1 5/8" long tube headers
msd ignition

rpm..................hp...............tq
3000................206..............352
3500................247..............372
4000................295..............387
4500................337..............393
5000................373..............392
5500................395..............377
6000................398..............349

Would need a high stall and low gears but that'd give ya 400hp according to the book described above.

Since we are being hypothetical here is another one that is even better.

351w stroked to 392ci
10:1 compression
I- beam rods
comp cams extreme energy 282 hydraullic roller
AFR heads-165's with 2.02/1.64 valves
edelbrock victor jr. with 2 inch spacer 750 cfm speed demon
1 5/8 long tube headers
msd ignition

rpm...............hp..........tq
3000..............244........428
3500..............298........447
4000..............361........475
4500..............419........489
5000..............473........497
5500..............513........490
6000..............526........460
6100..............523........451
6200..............517........438

Again you would need a high stall, lower rear gearing and you should be able to have some fun with 526 peak hp and 497 peak pound feet of torque."

those are some nice numbers,
by the way i do have hooker super comp headers and it is going to have a dual 2.5" exhaust with h pipe
i think i am also going to put a 1500rpm stall instead of the stock application, its going to mate up with a C4

Thanks

By the way
Anyone with a dyno program?

umdstang,
Whats the Compression heigth of the pistons? Do they have vavle reliefs? I'm guessing with untouched stock heads your going to get closer to 280 horse. Stock Ford heads suck.
