I've been doing some searching on here and noticed alot of people have the same problem that I do. But i wanted to make sure before I go and buy a bunch of stuff that I dont need.
Everytime I hit a bump in the road or run over any kind of dip, I get a horrible squeak from both the driver and passenger side. Now I looked for the zerks but I have those greaseless fittings. So should I go and get a nettle so that I can grease them? Or should I be looking into buying all new ball joints? What should I do. Or am I looking in the wrong area. This is my first truck so I want to make it last without having to replace parts that shouldnt be breaking.
Usually the easiest way to find where the squeek is coming from is to listen underneath and feel each joint while someone bounces on the bumper or pushes and pulls on the top of an open door to make the truck rock back and forth.
Usually whichever joint is squeeking will vibrate while it squeeks and you can feel that quite easily.
