I have a 95 f-150 I6 and was wondering if I wanted to put a cherry bomb on it would I have to weld or could I just clamp it on? I know its not goint to sound like a v8 but Its cheap and if I dont like it it will work until I go with flowmasters then. I just want to know if you can do it without welding and if so is it a good idea
Yes the cherry bombs are alot less then the flowmasters, one of my sons has a 82 F-150 with a 4.9 st. six , we put a 30" C/B on and both of us were let down , i guess with a 6 cyl. it didnt sound much loader then a stock muffler.

Yes, I would clamp it on. That will make it much easier to change if you don't like the sound. Summit sells a clamp with a 3/8" thick U-bolt, that does a good job; only $1.69 each.
Yeah I put a cherry bomb on today. A 30" cherry bomb. I def like the sound its just not loud. I dont want it loud but I wanted it a LITTLE louder then what I had. I guess its a tad louder but I was afraid it was going to be ridiculous loud. Im glad its not but im wondering if I should Have gone with a bit smaller of one. Also would removing my cat make it any louder? I have two of them so would taking one off make it any louder? Again I dont want it to rumble just a little louder.
Just in time to ask this question I too have a 95 and I too have just installed a cherry bomb. I used a 2.5" around 30" long. I installed mine right behind the cat. I'm quite happy with the way it sounds and happier with the price. I'm gonna have a muffler shop bend me up a tail peice and I'll be all set. Be careful with removing the cats.
CBs will always get louder the older they get as they burn out. Removing the cat will get more noise but its not something I would do. It is there for a reason.
Where it is at in the exhaust system matters too. The more pipe behind a muffler, the deeper and more mellow it sounds. Thats why all the import cars with the mufflers at the very end of the exhaust sound so bad.
I have always been a fan of 2.25" or 2.50" CBs on a dual exhaust, mounted as far foward as they will go, with 3 inch pipe all the way back after the mufflers. I had this setup in my truck, and while it got pretty loud at higher RPMs, it was dead quiet at idle, yet rattled the windows in the house from the reverberation. Always got me noticed
