Looking for traction bars for Ford Super Duty. I have a '03 F-250 PSD with the 6-speed ZF, trailer tow, camper package off road FX4. I Have very bad wheel hop/axle wrap on ice, snow, and loose graver roads. anything above a moderate acceleration results in bone jaring, tooth loosening wheel hop. looking for something to put an end to this... help
I made my own, and am fixing to make some new ones (I just want a new style). I would suggest to by some that are good quality so you don't have to worry about breaking them while going down the highway or something terrible like that. I have heard pretty good things about the fabtech bars. If you can make your own and are pretty good at welding I would do that, so you get the style you want at the price you want to pay. Otherwise look on some websites, i think rockymountainsusp.com has some and I am sure places like 4 wheel parts has them too. good luck
thanks for the reply, I have seen fabtechs stuff and I'am very impressed with them. I have a couple friends that have made thier own bars, I'am pretty good at fabricating/welding, but don't really have time to design something. Thanks again, will keep looking.
ORU has traction bars with a slip joint and the Fabtechs have a shackle up at the frame to prevent the traction bars from binding the suspension........the ORU ones are a good deal more $$, here's a pic of them:
