There is no fuel getting from the pump to the injectors and no firing from the pump on my Bronco II 88. The fuel pump is new, as is the plugs, wires, coils and filter. I don't know what's wrong with it. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Is the pump running? If a new pump was installed in the tank, did you get the correct pump? I've heard of one case where someone installed a new pump in the tank, and the parts house sold him a low pressure pump instead of a high pressure pump (Some BII's/Rangers used a low pressure in tank pump and a high pressure pump in the plumbing between the tank and the fuel rail. I think '88 was the first year they used a single high pressure in tank pump. Parts house was confused/unaware of this issue).
If the pump isn't running, then get a wiring diagram and start tracing/probing to find the break in the wiring. Relays are somewhat common.
This I know. Both of the pumps are new. My problem is there is no fire and no fuel coming from the high pressure pump, the front pump. I pushed the reset button and I could hear the pumps working. Someone suggested it might be the vaccum or a clogged line, but I'm not sure what's wrong with it.
If both pumps are running then I would disconnect the line at the HP pump and the rail and blow some low pressure air though it to determine if there's a clog. You could also check to see if you are getting fuel out of the HP pump while its disconnected but you would have to be VERY careful.
