I recently installed a hypertech programmer and Gibson cat back exhaust with The AEM intake system. I had pinging and took it back to the shop that installed the system. They had no prior problems for this combination and checked to see if the programmer was set for the proper octane and sent me on a test drive. No change. a call to hypertech advised the shop to remove the programer.Any feedback?

What vehicle and engine? What octane did you program it for? It shouldn't require a shop to program it. Even my grandmother can install a performance tuner, they take about 5 minutes and a couple of yes/no questions. Try it out.

I had a shop install all the mentioned pars as a package deal.The programmer was originally set for the 87 octane setting after I reported the pinging they reset it for the higher octane and the pinging kept occuring.
