I am putting in KONI shocks on my 98 B4000 4x4. I got the rears in, and went to do the fronts today. The first one went ok, once the top sheared off. The KONI instructions say to reuse the top rubber bushing, but mine is pretty well shot. I can't find it at Autozone or Strauss. I'll check the dealership in the morning, but is this something that usually comes with the shocks, or can it be bought alone?
I've got a couple brand new ones from when I put on new shocks.... I reused the old top pushing, like yourself, because they were nice pushings and different from the regular crap shock bushing I got w/ the shocks...I think FORD may actually have them... they are a kind of a specially formed bushing...

Good Luck
It's like a 2 piece bushing. One piece goes up through the hole from the bottom and the other sits on top. Man, if I can't find it I may need your extras.
Good news: I think I found a bushing kit from Monroe through Napa. I ordered it at a local Napa today, and it should come in Wednesday. I will post if it is the right one. Monroe tech support gave me the number P1135 for their bushing kit that goes with the shocks for the Ranger.
