New to my 95 F150 4x4 and need new shocks. I have always run Bilstein or Koni on my cars but I am aware that this truck thing is a different world. How do the Bilsteins work on a truck? What is the current opinion on 4x4 shock w/o a lift kit?
I have been using Monroe Gas Magnums on all of my trucks for many years now (30+). They are relatively inexpensive and readily available. Konis and Bilsteins work great on lighter performance cars, like a mustang. I do not think they make much difference on a big heavy truck. And they are expensive!
<!-- BreadCrumbs are not required if we are coming through punchout -->since this is about shocks
these are monroe *yes i know they arent the best but they are better that the wore out ones im rolling around now lol*
they are the sensa-tracs with coil overloads... rated to support an extra 1200 pounds so if u are going to put them all the way around on a 2wd like i am ur going to get a stiffer ride...
but they are fluid shocks so better spring rate.... softer
