How much does it hold?

How much does it hold?
I know the system is about 8 gallons, but don't know about the block alone. Maybe go to International's website. They have lots of information about each of thier engines. Look for Powerstroke or T444E; I can't remember if the Powerstroke is there or not.

The International web site indicates the engine alone holds 12 quarts of coolant. It makes sense since the reason I asked the question is that I changed the coolant for the first time in my PSD and I did not drain the block. When I replaced the coolant I was 3 gallons shy of a complete change with the new coolant and distilled water. I guess I will leave it alone at this point and drain the block the next time.
