Anybody try these Wally World filters? They are the same part number as Fram so I assume Fram/Allied Signal makes them. My Wally World has them for $6.42. They also restocked the Motorcraft filters, they let it get down to next to nothing so I was worried they were going to stop carrying them.
It would be interesting to have someone cut open several filters and compare them side by side. I had a friend do this a couple of years ago and Baldwin looked the best. Had the most pleats and a metal cylinder inside off it.
I have a coworker who did a big report on oil filters for his MG club . His findings put Fram at the bottom of the list. I will try to find his research and post it in the correct forum.
The Wal-mart filters are made by Champion labs(same people that make the Wixs filters). They are a great filter for the price. Get a fram and a wal-mart special and cut both open. Obvious difference in quality.
