Hey Creulcrew, How come I can't send you an e-mail? I wanted to ask you what Meds you were on because they aren't working correctly....If you ever put as much effort in really getting you truck either fixed or bought back as you do bashing Ford you could have owned a ford plant by now.
I understand your frustration I had a buy back once myself, but you should really give it a rest Man! For a bit I found your posts to be annoying, but now I take them with a grain of salt, a very small one. Oh one more thing, I have some chores around here that need doing and it seems you have a lot of time on your hands, so could you come buy and give me a hand? :O)

Did I ever "argue" about this? Did I ever insinuate that YOU didn't know how to operate your moonroof? Was I at all snide or rude about any of this stuff? Ford often changes suppliers for different parts, and having checked a vehicle that had been built within the past 2 weeks, I thought this was the case. Fortunately, we have CruelCrew to point out my egregious mistake. If anyone bought an F-150 within the past 24 hours based on my misleading information, I'll personally refund the purchase price of your moonroof. If there's any justice in this world, my boss will find out what I've done and fire me immediately.

CruelCrew: well, at least you picked an appropriate use name. Personally, I'm done wasting any more time in replying to any thread that has your name associated with it. Which I'm sure is what you wanted in the first place. So, you win; I sincerely hope that makes you happy. No more bad car salesman info from 1956MarkII: HOORAY!! 1956MarkII, why do you insist on being so insolent with me and my information? You shadow my posts with argument and insults. You paint a picture that I am scum and you are above me. Then when it backfires, you play the "woe is me" thing.

519DVX specifically wanted to know the drawbacks of the moonroof. I believe he asked, "is there anything BAD about it?". I assume he wanted accurate information.

I replied with a comment about how nice the moonroof is. And I included what I felt were its drawbacks. I provided good information, some of it right out of the owner's manual. I'm sure there are many here that are grateful.

If you're going to specifically attack the points I made with put-downs, and try to correct my information with arrogance, then you better know what you're talking about. It's obvious that the moonroof isn't just like a power window and the button has way more than 4 functions. It's obvious that the shade is 4" away from completely opening.

Contrary to hovy, I did not "bash" Ford or talk about buy-backs or other problems with my truck. I'm not sure where that mentality comes from. I said the moon roof was nice and he should get it.

The Moderators should remove your insults, realizing that your goal is to make anyone who says anything constructive about the F-150 look bad. Your goal is to turn a simple post into personalization, in hopes of getting it removed. That way more people will buy a truck from you. IMO, it would be a disservice to other members to remove such good info about how the moon roof functions.

519DVX already said he's getting the moon roof. I see no reason for you and hovy to continue to carry on.

How come the moonroof is available in the F150 SC but not in the SD SC?

Hey Guys I have a question!!
I have the Monnroof and I think mine is broken!!!

Help me!!! pls.

Here goes--- 1st off my moon roof shade almost goes all the way back,
leaving it about an inch from being completly back under the roof- like when the moon roof is all the way open!!

I just read here that it should be 4 inchs from being open all the way....
definatly not the case on mine!

Next I hold the open button once and let go and the moon roof opens all the way Automatically!!! pushing the shade all the way back!!!

I heard here there should be some kind of comfort spot where the roof only opens like halfway 1st the after the next button press it should open all the way!! I cant get mine to do this I've tried everything!!!

Thats 2 major problems and I would welcome any advice on what might be wrong here!! I did like the suggestion that there might be 2 different moonroofs out there( I got my truck in December-built in November) If there is any chance of that it would make me feel better that my truck might not be broken!! All info welcome

Thanks in advance!!!!

just used my moonroof and it is not confusing at all. When it is open all the way to the second position and I want to close it, I just hold the button and it closes all the way to fully closed. Simple.

jogmark3, something doesn't sound right. It should have 2 positions when opening, the comfort position and the fully open postition. What does your Owner's Guide say?

From my 2004 (December 03 build) F-150 Owner's Guide....

"Note: The moon roof will open to the "comfort" postition first, before opening all the way. The "comfort" postition helps to alleviate rumbling wind noise which may happen in the vehicle with the roof fully opened."

Also, you should have to hit the button more than once to get it to fully open. It should stop at the "comfort" postition, and open fully only after you press the button again.

"To open the moon roof: ...Press and release the ^^ control. The moon roof will open to the "comfort" position. Press and release the control again to fully open."

arctic cat matt, something doesn't sound right with your situation either. If your moon roof is fully open and you hold the button to close it, it should stop at the comfort postition, requiring you to hit the button again to close it fully.

"To close the moon roof: Press and hold the ^ control until the glass panel stops at the "comfort" postition. Press and hold the control again until the glass stops moving. When fully closed, the rear portion of the glass panel will appear higher than the front portion."

Again, check and see what your Owner's Guide says.

I'll check the Manual tonight! But if what your saying is the case Isn't it better that my moonroof is broken like this it makes it much easier to operate

Rather than have to 2 positions to open and close it fully I'd rather just the 1 like I have!!!

Would'nt you agree???

Well, not really.

Without the "comfort" postition, I get a horrible resonating wind vibration throughout the truck. I can't imagine driving it very fast with it completely open. Of course, I suppose you could stop it anywhere you want by pushing the correct button as it's opening or closing. Keep us posted.
