Can anyone reccomend a source for good quality connectors for use in rewiring a 56 F-100. I am looking for permanant and the type that can be uncoupled as needed. Thanks for any help.
Look for a manufacturer called Molex. They make connection hardware. If it is in cab / out of the weather, regular connections would work. Under hood I would look for weather tight connections (I don't know if Molex makes weather tight but check). You would need to get male pins, female pins, male plugs, female plugs (the plastic parts the pins go in), a pin crimper and a pin pusher (for removing pins from the plastic connectors).
Locally for a small selection of Molex connectors you can go to Radio Shack, they do have some in stock. If your doing a large job, which it sounds as though you are, you will probably find better pricing on the web.
