IPR pigtail/connector

Have a 2003 F250 w/ the 6.0 and found that the connector to the IPR sensor is damageged. Does anyone know if you can buy just the connector or pigtail to replace this?

Actually, the correct part number for a wiring pigtail connector for the IPR valve and VGT solenoid is 6E7Z-12A690-DA. If you have an old 7.3L UVC harness kicking around, one of the injector connectors will work as well.

Thanks Mike - I know better than question you on the part numbers, that's for sure!

Do you know what connector 6E7Z-14S411-A is for (KIT WIR ASY PIG TL)? That way maybe I can track down where I got cross-ways w/ the numbers.

thanks,
mark

here is my link to the wrong part number .....

We are both correct. 6E7Z-14S411-A supercedes to 6E7Z-12A690-DA which makes absolutely no sense at all. 14S411 is the basic part number for all wiring pigtail connectors. 12A690 is the basic part number for glow plug wiring harnesses. The 6E7Z is the prefix that denotes 2006 model year LCF truck.

I bought a new ICP for a 2003 6.0. The pigtail that came with it is not color coded!
Is there a sure way to find out which wire goes where?

When you guys do this splicing what type connectors do you use? Is there a heavy duty version worthy of the environment under the hood of these beasts!? :-)
Or do you just use what they have at the local parts store (oreilly, autozone,...)
Paul

I use a bullet crimp that has no plastic on it. Use a quality crimping tool like kd, Klein or channel lock. Not the one that look like the radio shack junk.
Use heat shink to cover each splice and then tape the repair. The oem kit should have all you need except the crimping tool.
