Thermostat

I'm pretty sure I didn't see it in the tech info, but I want to change out my stat, and I need to know where it is. (I know, rookie question)
I have a good idea, but I want soem more how too's and advice.
Also, some advice of the most reliable one out there right now, seems I have to replace this thing every two years or so...

Just follow the upper radiator hose, it leads to this metal tube that is attached onto the engine block, there are three bolts on it, and if i remember correctly, they take a 10mm socket, anyway, unscrew those, pull off the metal tube and your ready to roll. Make sure you buy a new rubber gasket with your new thermostat, and also clean up the area where your going to be putting the new thermostat as best you can, that way nothing will develop a leak on you. Might be a good time to change your radiator fluid too, and flush your engine out.

Are you planning on going with factory spec thermostat or 180 degree or lower. From what I have found, you may get a bit more power with the 180, but your mileage will suffer, since the computer will make the air/fuel richer. I had a 180 for a short while and am back with the 198. Just thought I'd share that with you.
