Just wanting some advice my stock tires on my 2011 F250 Lariat are worn out. I think I'm gonna stay with stock wheels and not put a lift until completely out of warranty. Thinking about going with 325-60-20 Nittos on my stock rims. Anybody have any advice or ran this setup? Anyone know a better tire brand or size I should look at? Thanks for the advice.
I'm running 295/60/20 Terra Grapplers and I can tell you that they just barely rub the radius arm at full turn on the stock wheels. 325s are going to rub for sure, but you get used to your limitations and try not to turn that far (like that is easy to do with a crew cab long bed). I can't think of a much better all around tire. There are cheaper tires available, but I have been really impressed with the off-road traction (light mud) and snow traction of these tires.
You didn't mention which model Nitto you were looking at. None of them are even close to being the longest wearing tire on the market but the mud design will net the least mileage and will likely being more unfriendly to fuel mileage.

That seems like an awfully wide tire for stock rims. I had a similar disparity in size years ago and wore out the centers very fast (front and rear), and also had rubbing when turning. (That truck was a '99, so it had front leaf springs and rubbed.)
I had 325/60R20 duratracs on the stock 20's with stock suspension.
They rub pretty good on the radius arms at full lock. Otherwise fine. After a while you get to know where they will rub and just quit turning
Pic is after lift and rims with more offset but the rubbing was from stock
from a specs standpoint... you should not put those tires on factory wheels, the tire is too wide and the recommended mounting idth for the wheel on that tire is at least a 9" wheels, your factory 20's are 8" wide so you are really not in the correct range.
As far as WHICH Nitto... I'm assuming that you are talking about the Terra's since the Trails dont come in that size. If you are wanting to size up a bit, but leave ride factory for now then i might look more towards the 295/60/20. It is a half inch shorter, just over a half inch more narrow... now the plusses of that size tire over the 325 are wheel mounting width is 8"-10" with 8.5" being optimal width so you meet that with factory wheels. They are also an LT which means they are stronger tires, they are rated to hold 3750 pounds for each tire whereas the 325 is only rated for 3195 each. I think that for factory ride height i would have to lean towards the 295's.
I personally run 295/65/20's Trail Grapplers and love them, not too wide but just big enough. i also have a 4" lift though.
On my 03 I had rubbing issues with my 315's. I put in 1/4" wheel spacer and I had no more rubbing issues and it looked a bit better as the wheels stuck out a little bit more than stock.
Could the original poster put wheel spacers on to prevent rubbing?
yes that's a viable option, given you get the correct kind of spacers (hub centric) and dont mind having a tire that is too wide for the wheel it is mounted on.
When you mount a tire that is so wide on a wheel that is narrow then you will either wear out the center of the tread or the outer edges very very early. the tires WILL NOT LAST LONG and will not tow good or be stable. I think that it is an "option" because it is a 20" tire and 20" wheel, but the mounting width is really an important factor, especially on these heavy duty trucks that are used at a high level. I would seriously encourage you to abandon the 325 "option" until you get the correct wheel.
With the 325 tire you will need to go ahead and get at least a 20x9" wheel maybe even a 20x10". And have the offset and backspacing to accommodate a larger tire.
yes thats what i said just above your post, if you look also in my previous post you will see that a factory 20" wheel is only 8" wide and will not fit the tire correctly.
I will add that I can vouch that 325 Terra Grapplers work on a 9" wheel, but it still isn't an ideal setup. I have 325/70/17s on the wife's Jeep and they are mounted on a 9" wheel. The tires still crown pretty good on a 9" wheel. I can't imagine getting any wear out of them at all on an 8" wheel. The tires are rated at 50 psi max and even running 32 psi in them, you can see that the outer edge of the tire doesn't touch the pavement most of the time.
