My computer crashed!!!!!!!

I had to restore it and now I can't seem to find my office 2000 CD? I have an old IBM which runs on Windows 98. I know it's old but I only use it for writing school papers and surfing on-line! Does anyone have an old office 2000 CD that they can burn me a copy of? I use WORD and Excel for school work!

Copying CDs for use other than your own is illegal. You can order CDs direct from MS (assuming you purchased the product and have your very own license).

If the product is still commercially available, you can get in BIG trouble for copying it. And the fines are pretty stiff.

In the US, the infringer could be fined up to $250,000 and jail terms of up to five years.

Let me know if you do it, I'd like to collect the $50,000 reward for turning you in!!!

I purchased it in 2000 but can't find the CD'S. The stores don't carry Office 2000 anymore. All I needed was the CD, I have the licence/code #'s!

Again, contact MS.. you should be able to order the CDs (like $20 or something).

I'd see if a local computer shop may have a version for sale cheap or ask a friend locally.
Ya never know, as long as you use your own numbers and Ids I dont see a problem with it.

As long as you have a legal license, you can use a friends disk without any hassle. Just make SURE you use your license number.

Hmmmm... I doubt the forum administrators and sponsors would appreciate their forum being used to solicit or encourage software piracy.

What do you guys think?

Nope, they wouldn't
But using a buddies disk and your code is legal
You bought the code, not the disk basically
But if you cant find it, call microsoft

Please refrain from using FTE in an attempt to do something illegal.
