I have an 89 Bronco II and i am very new to this whole Ford ownership. Currently i have ZERO Ford knowledge. Can i remove the cats? If i remove the cats do i need to worry about codes or anything that might get messed up. Next stupid question, i am used to the newer cars with computers being linked to one thing or another. Do these things have any computers that i need to be aware of when i tinker with engine, trans, emissions, ect? Thanks in advance......... Bob
Thanks for your replies........ Had a new muffler installed today, cats were fine so i left them on. Turns out the jerk (me) never checked the most obvious thing!!!! Spark plug wire had fallen off DUH!!!!! Put the wire on and it runs fine. Anyway i'm waiting for it to cool down now and will do the full tune up on it this afternoon. Thanks Bob
Update........ Did the tune-up and it runs great. I work with the guy i bought it from, when he listened to it he could not believe the difference. He said when he bought it at 9,000 miles it did not run as smooth as it does now. Guess i got a good deal for $800.00 and a couple inexpensive parts. Bob
