Does anybody know if Ford will continue making the 7.3 PSD engine after they stop putting them in their trucks? My '95 F350 is reaching 200K miles and still running great but I want to make sure that when I hit the million+ mile mark there will be a fresh new 7.3 engine waiting for me.
Do you have experience with such a replacement. To me it looks quite different from the early 1999 engine, does the vehicle's computer understand this engine.
You can get a built engine from someone like DI for much cheaper than a new Ford one. Plus it comes with better internals. Forget buying another engine from Ford. When the time comes, there are better replacements out there.
Many thanks for these hints. On DI I have found interesting information. Still I have concerns. Can a brazilian engine be modified to a pure navistar PSD ? Apparently only the top part is different, i.e., the navistar PSD has the fuel filter behind the HPPump and the Brazilian Maxion has the fuel filter between turbo and oil fill.
Does anyone have experience with Rhino rebuilt engines? Is that company reliable, trustworthy ? I have already made one bad experience with RJ Performance in Calgary, I don't want to repeat such swindle
Instead of reading more, and getting your answer, or posting another NEW topic, you brought one up from 2002. Not that there is technically anything wrong with that, it's just considered better to post a new question if you really have one.
