hook up for hoist?
Please advise, where to hook engine hoist sling to a v8 302 1978 f-150 with auto trans.
I am new to this, this is my first Ford truck.
I am doing rebuild on this motor.

I prefer to use a chain across oposite corners into the front of one head and rear of the other head. Just get the correct size bolt using the holes where the alt and p/s pump brackets bolt to the heads.
If the trans is staying in the truck, put a floor jack or some blocks under it, so it won't drop when the engine comes loose.
