i am replacing the front right brake line on my 79 4x4
and i was wonderin if it is a hard task?
i was just under there and noticed that the brake line that is on there, are held down by clips, and these clips dont look like their coming off. does anyone kno what im talking about? if so, help me out
Are you replacing the brake line or the brake hose??
the brake hose is retained by a horseshoe clip that slides on from 1 side, usually very easy to get off and if not they sell them at auto part's store's and a bolt to the caliper with 2 copper washer's
The brake line is held in place by plastic clip's to the frame that have a plastic pin in the center of the clip that need's to be pulled out to get the clip off
its a steel hose that starts from the left side of the front differential, and runs across the axle and then i come across the horseshoe clip u were talking about, then it turns into a rubber hose the goes into the brake
but we're takin it into a shop and lettin them do it
