turbo, intercooler pipe insulation
i have ben thinking of doing some insulating on the intercooler pipes and the exhaust side of the turbo and down pipe. my thought on the intercoller pipes was that they must absorb some heat from the engine compartment, especially the cold side it has no insulation on it at all from the factory the hot side at least has a little. i figured the cooler i can keep the air going in, the more hp i would make. as for the turbo and downpipe i have seen kits for this that claim the increased exhaust temp. increases exhaust veloicity thus moving the gases out faster(which is basically how a jet engine works). i was wondering if anyone has tried these ideas or have any input...thanks
