Factory Radio Question
Factory Radio Question
I have a '96 F-150. Does anyone know if a factory casette player out of a '96 mustang would work in my truck? I can't compare the wiring well due to the pictures on ebay not being so clear.
I have serached but come up with nothing.
Thanks!

if you can wait till firday evening i will run it through hollander at the junk yard, it will give me exact fit size and wiring only if thatll help, though i found on my ranger that with a little rewire work the radios were the same. What i did was went and got a haynes manual for both my ranger and the car i took the radio from, and got what wires went where, there were a few differances on the swap i did. You may not even have to buy it , i have found open manuals at autozone, and wrote the info down in the store.
The harnesses should be exactly the same, just a quick in and out swap. The only time there is usually a big difference is when the factory amplifier is used, and that's only on the factory CD players.
