No thanks; I've had GM products for 26 years and still have a few, so I know about em and what to expect . A Pontiac dealer in Kirkland, WA was more than enough reason to seak out other brands of vehicles.

JEEZE why is there a GMC in my FORD post!! lol, im still not getting what a brake stand is, is there were you do a brake torque and u just stay in the same spot??
i prefer to leave nice dark lines!! that's the best thing about my A/t's, you can roast them forever and thet barely wear down, and tehre fairly loud, which is a plus tooo, but i will definetly have to take a picture of my ranger doing a brake torque, i will do it at my high school so i can get some hott chicks! you should our fricking parking lot, it's less than a year old, and the hole black lot (junior/sophopmore) parking lot has burnouts everywehre!! it's a big lot, 700 car parking lot, well anyway, it's fun to do them period!

I call them brake stands too. It gets it's name from stepping on the gas, and standing on the brakes, because you're going to need to literally, stand on the brakes.
I used to do brake stands in my 5.0 all the time. I did them in my old 77 too, but the best truck to do a brake stand in was my 74 F250 with a 460, C6, Dana 60 combo. All you would see is tire smoke everywhere, and all you would hear is a screaming 460. Sweet.
okay i'll try it out at lucnh today!!! i forgot my camera tho but i will bring it tomorrow so i can finish off the roll and get some pics of me mudding and flexing and burning in my ranger!!!

I just happen to have a NIB NAPA line lock that is about 20 years old. We called them Brake stands and here, The state law is "If the drive wheels make a noticable sound (squeal or chirp) it is reckless driving." I know several people who got nabbed by the police and received the ticket of proof. When the insurance company received the reckless driving notice from DMV their insurance was cancelled.
well, damn, i feel sorry for you guys then , cuz around here, if u do a brake torque, everyone looks and smiles lol, it's a fun thing to do and it makes me you look good!!
