Did you use either shims or anti-squeal compound on them?

I got rid of my brake sqeak by using some brake quietener (its a red or blue goopy paste I found at my local parts store). As long as the brakes aren't worn out, you just apply apply the goop to the back of the brake pads and re-apply them. I did that about eight months ago (after my brakes started sqealing just four months after replacing my pads), and so far so good.

Edit: Ah drumm, you beat me to it!

I've used that stuff before too and it worked. It only costs a couple bucks.

If the above doesn't work, try deglazing the rotors and pads. I had the same problem and sanded the rotors, pads, and now brake silently. It made a huge difference.

Squeal

I don't understand how the squealing would stop but using brake quietener on the back of the pad,I thought that stuff was just for preventing rattling of the pads in the caliber. Can someone explain this to me.

The squealing is a very high frequency vibration and the stuff damps that out.
