The turbo once but is in shop now for another turbo they believe but will check it out Monday to see if it might be another injector gone bad, want to check it on cold start. We have had the egr valve, map sensor, crank shaft sensor, low pressure sensor, turbo blower hose, and a host of other things replaced on our truck, some of these one, two and three different times. Our truck stays in the shop more these days than when first purchased. Our mecanic told us today that ford rep told him it had to be the inadequate fuel being used. DUH!
Maryfrank, I would be talking with the service manager about this. That is ridiculous! I would also be looking for another dealer that has a really good diesel tech. They are making a lot of money off your "warranty" work. Replacing 11 injectors grounds for a trade or buyback I would think.

MaryFrank,

I believe that you may need to find another dealership and I would RUN away from the one you are dealing with in a hurry. Sounds like they may have, so called "PARTS CHANGERS", and not certified Diesel Tech's. What do you guys think?!?!?

I think the percentage of 6.0's with problems is probably less in reality than someone would think reading this website though (I'M NOT SAYING THERE AREN'T PROBLEMS). The main reason is that people who have problems are likely nowadays to search the internet and they stumble across a website like this and seek answers. If you'll notice a lot of the new members are people posting about a problem they're having.

My conclusion/observations are that there are indeed more problems than software issues but the % of engines with problems is probably lower than you would guess by reading the 6.0 PSD forum.
My unofficial survey, members of North Texas Power stroke club, and the people I, meet traveling, (40,000 mi per year) and on construction sites (by far the no. 1 truck used), I have only met 1 person that had enough trouble to mention and he got a new EX.
My survey percentage is as valad as any and it is 100% satisfied owners.
