Does anybody know of a cheep conversion to disc brakes for a 64 f100 that is easy and works good? It would be nice if its cheep because I'm only in highschool and money is tight. thanks
See if this link comes up & helps any;
[xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxx] WELL THAT DIDN'T WORK ANYMORE I got a error404 code, link is gone, Hhmmpf!
Sorry the link is no good anymore. A guy put a 66 F100 Twin I beam X member & radius rod brackets on his 64 F100 and used 76 front end parts [I beams, spindles rotors, calipers etc etc.] to upgrade his Slick.
But there is no cheap & easy way to do anything right, and the quicker you learn that the better off you will be. This is especially true when dealing with brakes, steering, front ends, suspension systems, and lives. . . I'm not trying to lecture ya here, just tryin' to add a little reality to your world. You will see what I'm sayin soon enough, especially when you get out of High School.
Also if you can't or are not going to do it "right", then best don't do it at all or atleast not until you can do it right. Your life may depend on it, and so might some innocent person coming the other direction. . . .like me maybe?
A lot has been written in archives here. But there are no cheap, easy, fast ways of doing what you'd like to do.
I don't like to rain on your picnic, but I'm tellin' ya straight....

FordBoyPete is dead on the money. I did a lot of crazy things with cars when I was in HS. Look back for a post from ranchero66h asking "Which donor yr/truck has Disc brakes for a kingpin Unibody?" dated 8-16-2003, It will get you started in the right direction. Good luck
I have lots of money to modefy my truck. I already have blown about 7 grand puting the motor, trans and rearend in the truck. I was just curious to see what is the least expensive route to go. I don't want to put an I beam front end on it either. Any direction would help, Iam also a strong believer of do it right the first time to so I agree with you Fordboypete.
