Drivers side kick panel, bolted to the park brake assembly. There are 7mm bolts holding the black plastic cover on the ECU. Remove the 2 bolts and tilt the ECU towards the accelerator pedal. The cover will slide off of the ECU towards the back of the truck.
After a battery charge, my speedo, odometer quit working also the service engine, abs, and overdrive light began flashing...the speed sensor checks out within range...I was told the ECU reads this sensor but mine isn't...I have access to a wrecked truck same year as mine so I was going to swap this part to try and cure the problem
Before you go that route, see if you can read codes from the ECU with an OBD II reader. If you have your keys in the ignition when you changed the battery you can damage the ECU.
