I'm new to the forums and haven't done any searches for this topic, but have used Google and couldn't come up with any hits. I just bought my Ranger with a Duraliner installed. It looks great except for 2 small rust stains (from metal objects). Has anyone found a "safe" cleaner that will get rid of them? I used "Oxygen 8 Citrus" all-purpose cleaner diluted and it didn't budge them. I hesitate to use toothpaste as it would "bleach" the liner I'd think. I've emailed Durakon website, but doubt they'll be much help. Is the only option "touch up paint" to cover them? Just curious if anyone has done this type maintenance on theirs. Love 'dem Fords
I have a herculiner bedliner and i had alot of rust stains from hualing scrap metal. I just used a power washer to remove them. Be careful though, if the liner aint stuck good it may peel off.

Update on rust removal. Just ask a redneck from WV. My rust spots are now history. If you only have a few rust spots, a "pink-pearl" eraser does wonders. One spot isn't completely gone, so I'm moving up to an "ink eraser" to finish the job. My friend only has one fault, he drives a Dodge Ram. Oh well, can't win 'em all. Hope this helps someone else out there. My Ranger is looking great now. Next is another wax job on the beautiful black paint job.
Yes, if it was deeply imbedded in the grain, I agree it'd be tough. I take back what I said about Durakon helping out, though. Here's the reply I just received from J. Mabley/Durakon :
"Rudy:
Thank you for writing: There is a product out on the market called CLR it
is in a Gray Bottle and you should be able to pick it up at your local
Meyer or Kmart or any hardware store. CLR stands for Calcium, Lime, and
Rust removal this product will not damage the liner. Please advise me of
any other questions or concerns. Thank you and have a great day."
.... glad I took the time to check their web site. Will have to see if it's available around here. Hope this helps someone else.
