V belts

V belts
I have a 1992 7.3 and my v belt on the alternator brakes about twice a year tension is fine, seems to be to much space between pulleys, is there a kit out there to take up the space, and does anyone else have the same problem.

I have a 91 f250 7.3l diesel and my alt belt breaks all the time.
Tension is ok but like you said there is much to much slak between pulleys. Some times I can only get about 60-100 miles per belt!!
If you hear of a solution please let me know.
