Most fitment guides say 4 1/2" lift (suspension and/or body lift combined) for 31x10.50-15s. You can, however, opt to get bushwacker cut-out flares and cut away your stock fender flares so that you have flares and full wheel well height all the way to the outer part of the fender. This usually gives you 3-4" of clearance, if I remember right (this is part of what I am going to be doing to my '87). I'm also swapping in a D44 and 9" out of an EB (unless that deal falls through -- long story). That, along with 2 or 3.5" EB coils and a modified rear leaf setup along with long arm radius arms will put me in good shape for at least 35s with lots of flexing room

A guy I work with has a set of 4, 31-10.5-15 tires for sale. I have no problems cutting my fenders if need be. A little rubbing is fine too as my bronco is just for hunting and using the trials every now and then. It will see no pavement. I believe my rims are only 6 inches wide, will I be able to get a tire 10.5" wide on there or will I need to get another set of rims?
Thanks,
Rick

Well, On my 1988 bronco when it was stock i ran 33s. i put a 3 inch body lift in it and i put a set of 35s on it then ran fine but when i turned sharp theyed rub like hell. so then i put coil spacers and shackels and 2 inch block in the back and they didnt rub from then on out. Then i got bored after that for a couple months and got the idea of installing the 6 inch rough country lift. and ran 38s with ease. really top heavy tho wouldn't recommind it to younger users but is alot of fun haha.
