i was fortunate enough to go see the redsox SPANK the yanks last night in a 6-2 victory at fenway park, courtesy of my grandfathers season tickets. BUT, that was not the highlight of my night, earlier last evening i went for a spin in my grandfathers 1929 ford model A roadster (drop top with rumble seat) it is completely original and drives like it was built in 1929 it starts right up thou! Anyways this was not the first time i drove it, i try to drive it as often as i can. It is the most "headturning?" vehicle i have ever been in everyone that sees it has that "OOOH WOW WHATS THAT" look on their face and i respond with a whaaaooogaaa!!! from the classic horn. It is extremely thrilling driving in the A i get the goosebumps just looking at her. And the exhaust oh man, no one with any truck out there has an exhaust that sounds as good as that flathead four.
I have been meaning to post pics of this beauty but everytime i go over to see my model A i mean to see my grandfather i forget my digital camera. I will post some soon as i get them thou
ANYONE elso out there own or know of an A aound your area????
I had the pleasure of driving it to the last day of high school, its tradition that everone brings nice cars from friends or family to the last day of school, i went to a private school where some of the kids families had serious money. The nicest car there.. The model A everypne loves it.
Never had a Model A...but have owned a '39, '46, '47 & '49. Still have my '23 Model T, but it's in pieces right now. Those old Fords are great...and you're right about them being attention-getters. It doesn't matter if they're stock or street rods...they're still cool.
