Welcome both rangerman03 and '04 4.0 XLT. I am relatively new myself (Joined in November 03). I have found so much valuable information here and have gotten a lot of help. This is a great site for Ford truck owners. I think you will like it here!
Don't mean to thread hijack, but I wanted to say on my behalf, thanks for the greeting!
I hope to learn a lot about Fords here, being a first time Ford truck buyer and truck owner. All the cars I've tinkered with were/are GM so far, though. But I hope to share my limited overall automotive knowledge the best I can. My hobby really, is musclecars. They're soooooo much easier to work on, and there's nothing like the smell, sound and feel of them babies @ WOT.
I've owned a '69 442 and I currently own a '70 Chevelle and have done a lot of tinkering on both, but the mechanics are pretty much standard on all vehicles. Believe me though, I'm not biased in any way. Obviously, I wouldn't have had the ***** to register if I was!!
While I was searching for a new truck in my price range, nothing compared to the Ranger. With the new styling, features, ride, handling, towing capacity, cash back and options for the buck, there really was no comparison with the General. I'm loving my truck at 980 miles on the clock so far!!
Anyway, I hope I won't offend any die hard blue oval bleeders. Can't we all just get along?!? I love my truck!!!
Hope to see you guys around!
