we just bought a 2003. We are very happy, but I am confused on one thing. The Explorer has the call3 hitch and a little 4 prong trailer hitch. We need to have the RV plug. I can not find a plug for some of the adapters that I have seen

The question is:

How hard is it to wire in the standard RV plug?
Where can I get the required parts?

Any help will be appreciated.

 

Check out an RV store they should have full kits to wire a new plug into you truck.
If not parts stores have the female plug with a short tail that you can splice into the trucks wiring. Thats what I did. You need to be a little handy to do it though.
