I agree... Red Faction is a great game aswell. Wish I had DSL at the house so I could multiplayer w/ you guys. 1942, COD, and MOH (Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault) are really great games, but you need a good computer w/ a really good graphics card. What kinda pc's and cards are you guys running? I build all of mine:
AMD 2500+
Gigabyte Motherboard
Nvidia MX440 (my major bottle neck, but about to get an ATI 9600 XT)
20 Gig HD
1 Gig. 333 DDR Kingston Ram
Sorry if this got too technical, I am a geek (as if you couldnt tell).
get a NVidia 5950 if you cant afford that just get the 5900
you are aware a completely new line of video cards is coming out soon? a completely new technology this year ALOT of comp changes are doming aroun
new set up
going ot BTX instead of ATX
SATA cables instead of the ATAa and even the SATAs are going ot get alot btter later this year
both ATI and NVidia are going to a completely new type of video card
64 bit systems (Anthlon 64 fx anyone?)
new RAM DDR2 is coming out, twice as fast as DDR
I used to play Diablo all the way through the D2 Expansion for hours. I started selling items I found on Ebay and made a killing doing it. The game got to easy though when you max level or get into the 60s so I stopped. I have a friend that makes about $200 a week selling crap from the game.
It was great when v1.10 came out, but that was months ago and I have almost every findable thing in the game Not to much fun anymore, esspessially since I have a Titan that does some 11,150 max damage 1 swing. No challenge lol. Hey, hows that Battle feild 1942? It always seems to come up in game talks hehe, must be good?
Battlefield 1942 is ok. I like Desert Combat a modification for it. I was addicted to that for awhile but then Vietnam came out now i am addicted to that.
I have an AthlonXP 2800 with an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard and 512MB PC-3200 memory, with only a GeForce4Ti4200 and I still waste most everyone in video quality, benchmarks, and performance.
I have a cheapo built 500 dollar comp I p[lan on upgrading in steps
it currently has
512 mb RAM Kingston
AMD 2700 proccessor
5200 NVidia
60g hard drive
and I forget the type of MB, but is uses ATA cables, using all rounds right now
also has a CD/RW
5 case fans (takes up to 7) only two are red leds
first upgrade
another stick of 512 DDR
5950 NVidia card
need a new cable for my A-drive
5 more red led case fans (replace the three that are not)
red cold cathode light
and a second round ATA cable so I can process info from both CD ROM and hard drive at same time
second
sound card
third
start buying new MB, 2 hard drives (raid to gether) raid card and a new CD/RW
cannot install them until I have them all so I can upgrade to SATA cables
after taht is done I am getting 2 more hard drives so I also have a mirrored raid next to the original 2 raided hard drives
last
THE top of the line Processor currently a AMD 64 FX something like 900 bucks right now
this will prolly be about 6 months down the road it is done,
I actually have to buy a monitor and a keyboard and mouse first, I am currently borrowing extras from a co-worker

Did you guys know that an AMD Athlon XP 2500 can be overclocked to an XP 3200 in about 30 seconds? Why pay more? Other AMD owners might like this URL, but be careful and think about what you are doing http://www.lostcircuits.com/cpu/amd_unlock/. As is noted in red text, you assume all responsibility.
To overclock a 2500+ to a 3200+ you need a older cpu. The new cpus are locked now. Also need one of the older Abit NF7-S Ver2.0 motherboards. Don't quote me on this. (out of the loop on this) If you run around the net, you will find many post about this subject.
My 2500+ and Abit M/B will do it on air. If you do try it, just keep an eye on your temps.
