Well got my dual fan kit on this week and works great. Have put about 500 miles on this weekend and only one bug showed up in the system. For some reason if my lights are in the auto mode and the fan still runs when I shut my truck off the lights stay on until the fan shuts off. Other then that it's working fine.
Well I've been putting a lot of highway miles on the old truck lately. Today I had to go to Topeka. Lets just say I had some tire problems on the way. When I got back to Lawrence I stopped by Firestone and to have them look at the truck. Well one thing led to another and by the time I left my truck was sporting some new shoes. 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo!!! Fills up the fender wells nicely.
I still have one mod in the box needing to be installed. Have to get a few more things before I can do it. Hopefully I can get it done by one of the GTG's in August.
Another mod should be here in Mondays mail. It's an apperance mod and should be installed by next weekend.
I just picked up a Superchips max micro tuner friday. Ready to get the truck on the track to see what it will do. I also had to buy lower ball joints today. Anyone have a press I could use tommorow?
Hey shawn, I broke mine awhile back and havn't replaced it yet. Go to Autozone and you can put a deposit on one (about $100 i think) but you get it all back when you return it.
Got the ball joints in today. Couldnt find a press so one of the guys at sears did it for me.Didnt cost much at all. Only took me 2.5 hours to get the everything took apart and back together.
Well...I need to install those new shackles and I should have my fog lights Tuesday. Are you up for it tuesday or Wed? If not, that's cool. The shackles aren't hard but I hate wiring anything up. I need to run the fogs and my ABM lights inside the cab. For now, I'll just be running the wiring inside the cab to nothing. I need to get my switches for the overhead console. I'll putting in Five switches total but I don't want to have to keep tearing the console down to install each accessory. I plan on putting in the switches all at once, running the wiring down under the dash and using them as needed.
I got my new fog lights installed today. They aren't wired up yet but they are in place. Man..I think street scene forgot that when you put a hole for fog lights you really should think about a place to mount them. I bought three different sets of lights before I found the one I like or that wasn't broken. I bought a pair of APC's...Yeah..I know I should have know better. Before I got them installed the seal broke.
I found the perfect pair at fatboys 4x4. They fit perfectly.
