I installed a Diablo Sport chip in my 97F250LD 5.4L w/E40D tranny. I have loved the chip; slight lag around 2700RPM, but opening up the airbox took that away.
I'm installing a Transgo shift kit tomorrow and plan on using the middle setting. Should I have the chip reburned? If so, how do I get the details?
Turns out that the shift kit is a very nice compliment to the Diablo chip.
I used the "mid-range" setting for the shift kit, and am very pleased with the results. Shifts are solid, quick, and firm; not too harsh.
