Reburn needed w/Transgo Shift kit?

I installed a Diablo Sport chip in my 97F250LD 5.4L w/E40D tranny. I have loved the chip; slight lag around 2700RPM, but opening up the airbox took that away.

I'm installing a Transgo shift kit tomorrow and plan on using the middle setting. Should I have the chip reburned? If so, how do I get the details?

TIA,
Scott

The chip and kit together may result in a very harse shift. If it does, then the chip will need to be reburned to remove the line pressure increase.

www.motorhaven.com - Click on the Diablo chips and then see the reburn fee lower down the list.

I've got a Diablo chip and a shift kit on my truck, it shifts firm but not overly harsh so you probably won't need a reburn for your chip.

Turns out that the shift kit is a very nice compliment to the Diablo chip.
I used the "mid-range" setting for the shift kit, and am very pleased with the results. Shifts are solid, quick, and firm; not too harsh.

harsh shift

mine is a little harsh while towing. also use the middle setting and think about having line pressure decreased slightly.
