And sorry parks911,I closed the curtain,,,,
You sure see the humourous side of things don't you KT. unless your 90, Live in MN, & drive a Chevy I doubt that it is you.
And KT, I posted a question in the Big Bronco Forum. Maybe you could look at it & have a clue. It is somewhat about that engine we were chatting about last night.
I go to work at 0600 and sit it my cubicle and watch a computer screen and green guys walking al over the place.
But on the weekends I hike, when not in rotation, with the family and teach my 3 kids that there is more to life than big towns and civilization.
When I lived in Colorado the apartment I lived in sat on top of a hill and in the morning was greeted by the Mountains, Pikes Peak in particularly, outside my living room window. Mule deer would roam the complex all the time as well as humming birds scrub jays and such. In six years I will retire out there.
I feel lucky to be able to have a love for the outdoors and go out and enjoy it at every opportunity.
It is nice to know that there are other parents besides myself who want to show their children that there are many great things in life other than malls, cable, and playstation.
And parks911,I have read enough things about you to know that you are a real good natured person,so I think when I make silly comments they will make you or somebody else smile.the thought of making somebody else smile makes me smile.

The nearest mall is 50 miles away, we dont own nor will not own a playstation, we do have satillite tv though where the boys watch Noggin when not in school in the playground, hiking or helping daddy with his truck.
My boys are able to hike up to 5 miles (with breaks of course) while carrying their own bags with water snacks a book and change of clothes. And they are 5 and 3. My 10 month old just rides in her Kelty Carrier with her mama. I always enjoy watching them adventure ask questions and wonder about their surroundings. Their pace can be annoying from time to time but I wouldnt give it up for the world.
Maybe there would be less violence in the world if kids stayed away from the violent games, japanese cartoons and such and grow to love life not to destroy it. But thats my opinion.
Usually I'm sittin in my little locked room at work. Tonight is the ever rare night that I am online at home. Sitting here with my dogs and something annoying on tv, the wife at work, a feshly empty beer can for fun.
right now the view in my dorm room is a lot of clothes lying around...but if i step outside i can see miles and miles of black dirt fields soon to be green with corn and beans.
i have a perfect view of pikes peak and the mountains from my windows. here is has been 70-80 degrees out lately yet the mountains are still covered in snow. i might be crazy, but i would rather be back on the farm!!!
I'm sitting in my room at my desk. Behind me is a large window that overlooks my backyard. Just behind my yard (no fence) is a lake that backs up to a golf course. My view is of 13 fairway. Pretty nice view, quite a few trees on the course. My favorite view, though, is on m y grandparents land. Large open fields with a few cows, surrounded by groves of trees, and a large pond.
