How about hearing some of your CB handles and how you got them.
Mine is squeeg it was granted to me one evening on route from
LA to Vancouver I was north bound on I-5 somewhere around Salem OR
bumper to bumper traffic and raining like mad.My co pilot and I
heard this lady over the radio say her wipers quit on her so
we asked her what Her 20 was and what's her ride. Turned out she was
just ahead of us so I grabed our squeegie out from under the bunk
and stood on her driver side running board wiping her window till she could exit hwy so we could look further into it. It was less than
a mile but it still enough to earn me the handle Squeeg.
Explanation:
When I was 25 and just getting into CB back in 1975,seeing & hearing all the handles that were duplicated ,I decided I needed a Special Handle that would NEVER be used by anyone else.
So,I put brain to work by thinking about everything in my life.
1) I drove a GREEN (an un-ripe banana colour) Volvo
2) My antenna was 6 ft & yellow in colour.
3) I drove for a living; that being a concrete truck that was painted:
Yellow(Ripe) ;Black (Over ripe) ;White (inside).
(The three colours of a Banana)
5) The yellow line down the centre of the road is referred to as " A Banana Peel"
6) I'm a Hairy (Ape Like) Guy.
7) I liked bananas very much.
8) I also had a Base Station @ home, on the top floor of an old house.
9) My girlfriend (at the time) was a Real Dreamboat
So it became obvious........I had to call myself..
" The Banana Peeler"
The girlfriend was affectionately known as,"The Banana Dreamboat"
The Base station was called, "The Banana Treehouse Base"
My handle is SpeedRacer. But, sometimes I'm called Speed.
I came up with the name because I drive my truck like a sports car. I'm pretty hard on my truck, as well as tick people off by parking in economic parking spaces. I can outturn most vehicles (short turning).
I don't get on the cb that much, but when I do, there's a guy that sings the speedracer song to me.
I also have names that I use when I am incognito when I trravel through certain cities hundred miles away.
I used to go by The Law, but people got to wondering if I was the cops, so now I go by Sasquatch. I'm one of the more hairy guys you'll find up here, some people say I'm shaped like a gorilla, and I'm from the Great NorthWest. So Sasquatch is as good as any, it being the WA/B.C. Indian word for Bigfoot.

Mine has been 'Hammer' since I was about 16 or 17. I always had fast trucks, motorcycles, and bikes (BMX), and have pretty good timing abilities. My dad had never seen me race much because he has been drving for a living for 40 years. Finally talked him into going one night and watching me run - one of the best nights I have ever had. Caught every light almost perfect that night. While we were all standing around, Dad told me that I sure learned how to 'drop the hammer' when running. Name stuck after that...
Im the undertaker reason is i was in 2 accidents when i was younger with my truck and i went over the top of one(she had a broken arm but not seriously hurt) and the other i went over top of the hood of the car so my buddies got to calling me the undertaker and i always add cold hands warm heart and the last man to let you "down"!!:P
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Sep-02 AT 06:31 PM (EST)]White Lightning, I had a 76 FORD Courier it was Orange with a White Lightning bolt going down both sides
Stormbringer. I got it from the song by Deep Purple, but it stuck when several trips from Oklahoma to Indiana were made just ahead of weather fronts bringing either rain or snow. My wife's is OneOkieMunchkin, given to her by her truck driver father.
