Yeah, I guess it isn't so bad, actually, it's pretty darn nice. No deer, but the view is great. I wish I was on the other side of the building, those lucky buggers have a mountain view.
Hmmmn.....I see two cats, a 65 Mustang and a 70 Mach I. A bunch of test equipment and a pile of papers on my desk. A authorized Ford service clock on the wall.
Look out the window behind me in my office and I can look in the back windows of Beth Israel synagogue. Step right outside my office door and I can look out a big glass window and see a the steeple of First United Methodist, framed against the Blue Ridge mountains in the distance. In the evenings I like to watch the sun set behind it and the sky get all red, with swallows flying all around the steeple. Walk up a short hallway to the front lobby of our office and look out a wall of glass onto the original county courthouse (built around 1800 and still in use), with a statue of Stonewall Jackson beside it and a pair of civil war era cannons out front.
ive got a view of a street in suburbia ( old bridge NJ) before i was in NY NY (the city so horrid they warn ya twice) ive got a view of a deer too but the only thing eating there is the maggots where he is bruised from bein it by a car....
so i guess the view is better than that in the city but lol not near as good as the king has it you know what they say... Its good to be the king!
I'm at work, and my only view is my walls and shelves full of nicknacks and dust. But there is this guy here, whose only a couple cubicle away. When ever he blows his nose (which is all the time) he sounds like a moose. Does this count?
If you close your eyes and make believe!
That's about the same as my view, Robin, but I have the phone on one shoulder most of the time, and a 2way radio blaring.
Its Lunch at school. There is a white wall infront of me with a map of Canada on it. to my right there are some people on computers and another white wall. to my left is the libarary. and behind me is a desk and a white wall with a door.
When i look out my window i see my bronco and my dads F150. Get passed the trucks and i see cow grazing and a road about 100 yrds away. I step out my door and look to my right and i see the first 20 acres of our 60 acres. About 50 yrds from our back deck i see our first pond, which is stocked with catfish and bass. I see the trees starting to turn back green and i see dogwood trees already blooming. I can hear the cows "mooing" and the dogs barking in the distance. My nearest neighbor is 200 yrds away. Its great living out in the country in the rolling hills of arkansas .
ah... sitting here on campus enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather (sunny 70 degrees, just a slight wind), watching and talking to all the pretty girls ... AHHH..... thank you WI-FI. Who could ask for anything better??
Sitting here in my office I am looking out & see the smal village I live in birds & a deer that just ran past my window. If I look out my other window I see horses looking at us. over the fence. It dosnt get any better than this. This is why I do not care for city. This place is almost like something from Green ackers show. And the yuppies have not enfested them selfs here yet.
I just moved out of the city to a country area. It's nice because the house lot sizes are big, and it's a country-like area, but the city is still 15-20 minutes away and stores/malls are within 15-20 minutes. I can also get to major highways in about 5 minutes. My house has 2.5 acres (probably small compaired to most of you) but we have deer, wild turkeys, and all kinds of little rodents. I've already ran over a deer in my truck, but there are like 40-50 in this neighborhood. I like deer, very beautiful animals. When I went to a camp in maine they have deer that they feed (but they shouldn't be) and they'd come 10 feet from the deck when you were standing there. Never got that close to a deer before.
I am not legally allowed to tell yall what I see in front of me classified....ok just joking. alot of computers no windows, alot of people who hate working inside all day a clock with lcal and zulu time. a TV on the history channel and behind me is our sole visual referance with the outside a monitor for the flightline cameras.....next to me is a radio with 3 channels, about to be with 7 channels.
oh yeah there is a monitor DIRECTLY in front of me! :P
I live in rural northeastern Washington State overlooking the Pend Oreille River. This was my view this past Sunday afternoon http://kenoverbay-baker.com/Untitled-1.jpg
