I have a 01 F-350 4X4 powerstorke with a AT. With mixed highway and city driving I'm getting around 15 MPG. This seems to be good. Is there anything that I can do to improve it? Air Filter? fuel additive? Chip? I don't need any more power but would like to get more gas. I don't drive the truck hard at all so that won't help. Let me know your experience. Also I don't do any towing.
I did get a couple more mpg with a Diablosport chip on my 95 model. I haven't done anything to my 03 model to improve mpg but I'll chip it sonner or later.
I get around 16.5 with the 03 model. I get around 18 to 19 with the 95 model. The 03 isn't broke in yet so I'll have to wait to see what it will really do. (all the above mileage is mixed)
Good luck.
There are a number of things you can do to improve your power output without hurting your mileage, (see my signature below), but the only things that I've found to improve mileage are the exhaust work I've done, and the chip. Overall, the mpg of my truck has improved 2mpg since it was stock, and it's a lot more fun to drive this way!!
