ART.. Do a search on them.. I have them on My SD.. and no complaints.. there are lots out there... do some research and see what works best for you. I paid about 650 for mine which included shipping and a set of full replacement pads all the way around.
I bought Raybest Rotor for my 250. It was a beautiful piece of work and so far has done splendid duty on my truck which is used to tow an 8,000# trailer.
I think I paid something like $70 for it. The dealer sells only complete hub assemblies for $250, junkyards wanted $150 and the Chinese POS were something like $50 and the lifetime NAPAs were something like $90.
I know that seems like an awful lot.. but with all the research i have don'e on the different makes and with all the feedback I recieved. ART. was the way to go fro me. I've seen proof that these rotors have gone more than 100k.. and still haven't needed to be turned. when a company doesn't mass produce items and only makes to order.. I was pleased to hear that each part gets individual attention to detail..
I have a vibration that just started in the front end that I only feel above 70mph. I had hoped that it was the tires needing balanced but after reading this thread I am thinking maybe the rotors are warped. The only problem is that I don't feel any vibration when applying the brakes which usually is the sign of warped rotors.
The is sounds as if your tires may need to be ballanced or are out of round... you may also want to have your barrings looked at.. if you feel the vibration in the steering wheel or the pedals it's most likely in the front. If you feel the vibration theyour seat or on the floor then it's most likely the rear.
Vibration is in the stearing wheel and the wheels were just balanced and rotated but I need to check them again at 70 mph to make sure it has gone away. Wheel bearing should be ok the truck only has 15,000 miles on it. Thanks.
thanks fellas. ill research them in my spare time. 650 is a lot for me right now, but i need rotors. my fromt tires are showing odd ware too but i was told might be wheel bearings too. truck has 39k.
I got the 13" rotors on my 350z drilled and slotted by the brake warehouse in the carolinas, they have to be done when new before you drive the vehicle ,so they do not get tempered, they also heat treat/nickel plated balance them ,about $450 with shipping($85) for all four, contact randy. ps. they do a lot of work for nascar, excellent work!
What do yall think of these guys... They are about mid page, called "severe duty rotors" They are slotted and drilled. I wonder what the price might be? I just cant see myself spending upwords of 400 dollars for rotors.
How about the performance friction rotors? I notice the ART rotors come with perfomance friction z rated pads. So their product must be good if ART is using the pads. How about their rotors?
