If I put a leveling kit on my F250 6.0L how much lift to I need having the heavier motor and all? What size tires can I fit under there with out problems?
dukota, your link is to the Rancho setup right? Did you go with the shocks also? I am a bit confused by some companies saying it is a must, while other saying it is not necessary. Also, did you give up the cushy ride for the lift?
The link is to Tuff Country. I still have the stock shocks on it for right now, I did not purchase the shocks because I would like to go with a dual shock setup. The ride feels just a little stiffer up front but that's good because it was a little bouncy before. Don't have any pics right now but it looks much better than it did sitting nose down. I went with Pro Comp all terrains and they give it a much better ride than the Firrestone steeltex I had on it.
I have the tuff-country 2.5" leveling kit on my truck with the x springs and I clear 35's with no problem. Iput a set of summit 1.5" add a leafs in the rear also.I still have the factoryt shocks.
How much do a set of x springs cost and how much front end lift would i get with a 5.4.
Have you found out how high the X springs will give you, Im also looking for about 2-3 inches in front, I have a 03 F250 4x2 and just ordered 18 x 9.5 rims with Michelin 275/65/18 tires. Can't get leveling kit, at least can't find one, and the other option is a 4" lift. Im still trying to figure out if the tires will fit eithout any modifications... Any help?
I went to the dealer a few days ago to find the cost of x springs. Was told $380, I will be going with an aftermarket leveling kit. Probably Tough Country.
