Let me make a suggestion. Save some $$$ and get a great hitch. http://www.hitch-web.com . I have bought 3 hitches through them over the years. Excellent web site and products.
That is a nice site. They're supposed to give me one so I want to make sure they get e 15k and not a 12.5k. If they can't, they will give me the $$$ and I'll buy one from the site.....hard to find a 15k and they have it....I don't know if I like the idea of a 3-piece though...hmmmm.
As far as i know ,i tried to get one also, they say that you can now only get the 15k on the dual wheel trucks,so take your flashlight to the dealer and copy down the part number off of a truck in their lot!
Yep...that's exactly what I told the dealer today on the phone when he said thay can't find the part #...so, that's what I'm gonna have to do....they're all a bunch of retards...every last one of them!
I ordered my truck f350 srw 3/1/04 with the 86r/15k hitch and when they placed the order ford deleted it and replaced with the 12.5k saying 15k no longer available. Called the dealership parts dept and they said the most they could get was 10k hitch. So, I'm not sure if they are available any longer. My dad ordered his truck (drw) in november 03 with 86r/15k hitch and had no problem. I don't have anything to tow right now so wasn't that worried about it. Good luck and let me know if you get the part # because I have not got my truck yet and would like to have what I ordered. Thanks!

You are correct...Ford deleated the 86r and replaced all SRW with the 86t...12.5k. I gaurentee you'll get a 12.5 with yours. Thats why I didn't order mine with a hitch....we were going to do a separate order....now it's another fiasco....
twoballs...
If you find that the 15k's are still available post here. Maybe I can make a stink and trade it out for the 15k when my truck gets here. Again good luck!
