I currently own a 2004 Ford Excursion Limited and a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. My only previous vehicle was a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina. Before that, I drove my parents' 1984 Buick Century and 1982 Oldsmobile Toronado Diesel.

I just purchased my new-to-me 2000 Excursion, 7.3L PSD 4x4 Limited on May 21st. I traded in my 1996 Crown Vic for it. <SNIFF>I miss that Vic. It had an upgraded, road race suspension and Flowmaster exhaust...LOL, my buddy always said it had a stealth like stance!

But I've LOVED the Ex's ever since Ford started making them. I told the wife we would eventually own one. Since she works as an EMT, she's used to driving very large vehicles and took to the Ex like a duck takes to water. I love the Vic, but would rather have the Ex over it ANY day. Plus, if, later down the road I realize I just HAVE to have a Vic, I'll just buy a Mercury Maurader and supercharge it!

I just wish Ford made the Lightning in a supercab version. Then I could trade in my '94 F-150 work truck! Maybe in a couple years the Roush F-150's will have a stage 3 supercharger in them!

Oh well, I still have my '90 5.0 to play with...as soon as I repair all the damage done by the theives who stole her and stripped her!

Can ya tell I love the Blue Oval?

'97 Tahoe LT - Not a bad vehicle, but I bought it used and still went through two trannies. It was going to be my drive-it-'til-it-dies car, but "having one more child" turned out to be two more, so we started shopping for three row SUVs that would serve as my weekend boat-towing mule. The X was the better deal than any K2500 'Burban I could find. And she won't admit it, but I'm sure the wife likes shuttling my angels in the King of SUV's.

I last had a 2000 Dodge 1500 truck, and a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We got the X for its towing ability for the 7200# trailer. The X handles it just fine.

My wife parked her 95 Bronco 5.8 litre when we got the X which she's owned for over 4 years now.

I owned a 2001 Saab Viggen Convertible, before that a 2001 Honda S2000 (piece of crap), and before that a 2000 BMW. This is a big change.

I just traded in my '99 F250 X-cab SD diesel for my 2001 Limited. My wife is super happy about that. I drive the car to work now.

Well without going into a chronological listing of every vehicle I ever owned, the vehicle I had immediately preceeding "Kermit" was a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with all the bells and whistles. I loved that car - me and that Jeep were one when I was on the road!

However, one day on my way to work I found myself hanging from the seatbelt...a position neither it nor I found very comfortable! When it was all said and done, I was driving a new vehicle and that old Jeep belonged to the insurance company.

'85 Surburban 2500 - a faithfull beast with 217,000 miles on it. I replaced just about everything in the engine compartment except one of the air pumps. When the 2000 X came around, I fell in love & determined then that I wanted one, but took a few years to get to that goal.

I'm trying to sell the old beast now. You know, its funny, but I measured the old 'burb & the X when I brought it home, its only 1 1/2 inches shorter than the X. So much for the "huge" difference. Some people are so concerned that its soooo big & it really isn't any bigger than what I've been driving for so many years.

In 1985 there were three options to drive a 4WD four door SUV - Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevy Suburban or the Toyota FJ60 Landcruiser. I got the Landcruiser for hardcore off road and beach driving. My friends and family all thought it was very strange. How many 4WD four door SUV's are available today?

Kept that FJ60 for 13 years. Got an FZJ80 Landcruiser in 1997 before Toyota turned it into a wuss mobile in 1998. Still have the Landcruiser and plan on keeping it indefinately.

Others:

1995 BMW M5 - a race car in a family sedan costume - honest 150 MPH, Getrag 6 speed stick complete with Recaro buckets. New rear tires about every 7K.

1992 Mercedes 300E - most comfortable car ever built.

1989 BMW 535 - one of the most reliable cars ever built.

1988 Pontiac Bonneville - company car - exhaust sounded like a bee hive.

1983 Volvo 240 - I know - just go ahead and laugh.

1977 Chevrolet Camaro - orange no less - laugh some more.

1974 Olds Cutlass with the 350 " Rocket " engine - the thing would fly and the 200 pound doors would wipe out anything that got in their way.

1969 Corvette Stingray with 350 / 350 four bolt main - that car threw belts faster than I could buy them. I kept spares in the car at all times. Looking back now I realize that my parents let me buy the thing cause it's virtually impossible to have sex in one.

1965 Chevrolet Impala with 2 speed Powerglide tranny and 283 V8. Indestructable. We were fond of creating crop shapes in corn fields with that car and had more than one load of bird shot to hit the rear of the car.

Motorcycles:

Honda CR70
Honda 90's - one orange / one red
Honda CBR 100
Honda CR125
Harley Davidson ( AMF ) 125
Yamaha 360 Enduro
Honda CR 250
KTM 175
KTM 400
Yamaha Seka 750
Honda Sabre 750
Honda CBR 1000
