Hi, this is my first post. I got a 1990 Bii 2.9, 4X2 from a lady that said the fuel pump was bad. I got it started and drove it home (about 4 miles) It set for two days then I tryed to start it, no power to fuel pump (in tank) I checked the fuse relay under the hood, fuse is good. I got a haynes repair manual, it says the intertia switch is located under the dash on the passenger side of the firewall. I have looked every where with no luck. Thanks for any help.
ps:This is my first Bronco II and know very little about it.
I have an 89 bronco 2 someone bypassed the inertia switch and went straight to the fuel pump now my gas gauge doesn't work and the fuel pump runs all the time when the key is on I've looked everywhere for the inertia switch under the edge of the carpet in front of the transmission hump I took half the dash out I can't find it? Can someone please help me

When the key is turned from OFF to RUN the pump is supposed to run for a couple seconds and then shut off. Usually when the fuel pump runs constantly instead of turning off it means that the computer is bad but who knows how the PO wired the pump. I’d say you need to start following wires to see what was done.
