Unhappy Inertia switch (where is it, help)

Hi, this is my first post. I got a 1990 Bii 2.9, 4X2 from a lady that said the fuel pump was bad. I got it started and drove it home (about 4 miles) It set for two days then I tryed to start it, no power to fuel pump (in tank) I checked the fuse relay under the hood, fuse is good. I got a haynes repair manual, it says the intertia switch is located under the dash on the passenger side of the firewall. I have looked every where with no luck. Thanks for any help.
ps:This is my first Bronco II and know very little about it.

Elzie

It's usually just under the edge of the carpet to the right of the transmission hump.

mrshorty, my curiosity got the best of me, so went out tonight and checked. You were right, just where you said it would be. Thanks for the help.

Does this help?

When the key is turned from OFF to RUN the pump is supposed to run for a couple seconds and then shut off. Usually when the fuel pump runs constantly instead of turning off it means that the computer is bad but who knows how the PO wired the pump. I’d say you need to start following wires to see what was done.
