My Bronco wont start! its getting gas and spark, ive replaced the intank fuel pump(wasnt pumping to specs) the pressure regulator, sparkplugs, fuel filter,TFI mod... i just did a fuel pressure test and im getting 40psi chiltons say 35 to 45 is right HELP!!!!!
Well, there are alot of possibilities to cause this problem. Here are a few you can check. 1) Battery discharging- engine turning over too slow; check battery terminals. 2)Excessive moisture or damage to ignition components. 3) Wrong plugs - gap etc. 4) Distributor loose, causing timing to change or timing is just off in general. Theres probably more things to check, the only other thing I can think of is your not getting air - plugged filter; throttle body not working. Or possibly on the fuel side of things - clogged injectors but thats a long shot, not very likely. I don't know if any of this helps, you might try replacing spark plug wires and/or checking to make sure you've got the wires in the right firing order?? Just some suggestions!! Good Luck!!!!
Check the fusible links near the solenoid. You may have one burnt out. We replaced the tank fuel pump on our 92 Aerostar, and it turned out to be a defective transmission overdrive sensor. We had to disconnect it to keep from burning out the new link. Happy Hunting!
