I want a set of new stainless steel nerf steps for my bronco. I was wondering if any of you know of any online sources that sell them at a good price. I couldn't find any. JCwhitney sells smittybuilt ones for $300. Is there any place to get a brand new set cheaper?
Try Ebay......I just got a set of stainless steel 3" x 56" Dee Zee Nerf Bars with Black step inserts for about $150......cant bet that...I just hope they dont rust out in 6 months......
I bought a set from e-bay last week (60 bucks) and they look pretty good - only thing is the guy did not send all of the mounting brackets.
One end mounts to the rear leaf spring shackle at the rear of the bar, and to the body at the front of the bar. Has anyone used this style before? Now that they are in the garage, this mounting set-up does not look that sturdy. I was going to have them welded to to the frame, but if they work as they are intended, I'll save my money and time.
I have that set up on mine. They came with the truck. I weight 230 lbs. and they are starting to bend. I want to make an extra bracket and drop them some and stick em out just a little. The single hole mount is not very sturdy for me.
