69 Bronco. Which transfer case?

Just bought a 1969 Bronco to replace my 78 cj5, Does anyone know what transfer case came stock with this. I know it has a np435 swapped in. I need to get this home, can I flat tow it without taking the drivelines out. I need to go about 450 miles.
Thanks for any help

Should be a Dana 20 but if it has had the tranny swapped out the t-case could have been swapped out as well. I would disconnect the rear one on any vehicle unless it has rear lockouts.

You can put the trans and transfer case both in Neutral and leave the front hubs unlocked and flat tow it. I also have a '69 Bronco. The '69 Dana 20 transfer case has a straight up and down shift pattern: 4Low, 2Low (not marked), N, 2Hi, 4Hi, with a 'T'-handle shifter. The later model Dana 20's had a 'J' shift pattern with a round-**** shifter. It likely still has the Dana 20 in it since there are adaptor kits to mate the NP435 to the Dana 20. With that combination, you should have excellent gearing. Have fun with your new Horse!

Thanks for the quick reply. It has the T-handle shift pattern so I'm pretty sure its still the Dana 20.
I used to have a F150 with the same transmission, ansd I really like the low first gear. I think my 3 year old can walk faster than this thing in 1st gear and 4lo. I LOVE IT. Saw it in the trader while visiting my Mom in Norcal for Easter and I couldn't pass it up.
Thanks Again

For short trips, putting the transfer case in neutral will work. But, for a long trip like that, I would disconnect the rear driveline at the differential and tie it up. The is not enough lubrication to oil the output shaft bearings when in neutral.

Better safe than sorry. I would disconnect the driveshafts.
